OLD TOWN OF ABURI

Description
Aburi is one of the oldest town in Ghana and it’s known for its beautiful forestation, landscape and conservation. In Aburi cutting down a tree is illegal, The hills around Aburi are part of a semi-deciduous forest landscape typical of Ghana’s southern forests. These natural forests are important for biodiversity, watershed protection, and climate regulation — and conserving them means protecting the trees that form this landscape. Forest conservation in such upland areas involves restricting illegal logging, preventing soil erosion, and supporting regeneration of native tree species. By Adedoyin Aderomola.
