I captured myself in black and white, wrapped around my eyes is a gauze streaked with luminous blue. The color interrupts the silence marking grief, healing, and authorship of pain by the blue. By placing myself among the others in this series, I become both witness and wound, proof that the tears are mine too and that they glow. It’s self reflection of overcoming the worst and coming out on the other side stronger. By imoutta.
